
“Thanks for your patience”... that’s a phrase we seem to use a lot lately. We are working very hard to keep up with all the work we did this summer and fall and working very hard to not give into the temptation to let the kids sit and watch cartoons all day. This business is hard, working from home is hard, life is hard. It’s impossible to be good at everything.

The second day we were in Vegas, we rented a car and drove to the Hoover Dam. We stopped to have a look, we took about 37 steps, still about a hundred more until we could of been standing on the Dam... it starts raining. We get in the car and head deeper into Arizona, running from the rain in hopes of getting some dry photo time with Kellan Studios aka Ryan and Kelly Portnoy.

It was our very first time in Las Vegas. We arrived to flashing lights and billboards, clinging slot machines, smokey dim light, pounding bass, and AWESOME friends. We were so happy to see familiar faces among the crowd and insanity. To say the least... we did not fit into the whole Vegas thing.

I can’t say that I recommend driving for 32 hours to photograph a wedding and a longboarding competition but in this case it was totally worth it and I don’t regret a thing, except for maybe that speeding ticket. First one in my life, by the way...
